Located meters from the iconic Place Vendome, the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome is a luxurious hotel popular with Hyatt loyalists. This was our third stay here and as always we thoroughly enjoyed our time!
What stood out:
We always receive excellent service when staying at the Park Hyatt. The bellman, front desk, concierge and restaurant staff are always welcoming and do their best to make the stay enjoyable.
The hotel has prime location near many of Paris’s most well known attractions. Plus the proximity to luxury shops can’t be beat!
Booking and arrival
We booked this stay using Hyatt points at approximately 40-45k points per night. We then applied a suite upgrade award to upgrade to the standard suite (Park Suite King). Upon arrival, we were informed that we had been upgraded to the Prestige Suite. This was a welcome surprise as this was the first time we’ve been upgraded while at this hotel (this is our third stay).
Room
The Prestige Suite is 55 to 60 square meters (592-646 sq. ft). The sleeping area features a large king bed and is connected to the main bathroom which has a separate tub and shower with a walk-in closet. Amenities are from Blaise Mautin.
The suite also features a separate living room and a second bathroom with a shower.
Complementary water (still and sparkling), tea and coffee are provided and refreshed daily. We were also gifted with a bottle of wine and macarons as a welcome amenity.
The best feature of this suite is the spectacular view of Rue de la Paix and the Vendôme column from the windows!
Dining
Breakfast is served at Café Jeanne, located on the lobby level of the hotel. Our Globalist status included 2 free daily breakfast, which included the American Breakfast (normally 60 euros each) - this includes drinks, hot items off the menu and access to the buffet. The choices are extensive, and in our experience even if you order more than one hot item, the charges will be covered in the breakfast benefit.
Another breakfast option is to order room service, which is also included as a breakfast benefit. While we did not opt for room service this time around, we have tried it in the past and found that whatever we ordered was covered.
Amenities, Activities, and Experiences
There is a 24 hour gym that has a good variety of machines and free weights.
Next to the gym is the spa, which has a small hot tub and sauna. Access is included when booking a spa treatment. The facilities are small but well kept and quiet.
Last Thoughts
The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome is a beautiful (though starting to become a little dated) hotel in one of the best areas of Paris. The hotel consistently provides excellent service and we always feel a sense of welcome whenever staying. It is definitely a great value for money when booking with Hyatt points. We will definitely be back!
