Cheval Blanc Paris

Stay: May 2025

Published June 2025

Located on Paris’s Right Bank along the Seine River, just steps away from the Lourve and Notre Dame, the Cheval Blanc Paris is a modern luxurious hotel residing within a historical building with an art deco flair. Opened in 2021, the hotel has only 72 rooms and suites and such offers personalized service to all its guests. With amazing facilities (Paris’s longest indoor pool), renown food (3 Michelin star restaurant Plenitude), and spectacular views of Paris, a stay at the Cheval Blanc Paris is truely a 5 star experience.

What stood out:

  • A hotel with modern luxurious design and furnishings with excellent facilities including Paris’s largest indoor pool and the world’s largest Dior Spa.

  • Not only are the rooms amazing, it is the sheer amount of provided amenities that makes staying at the hotel stand out, including a pillow menu of 7 different types of pillows, various types of shampoo, body wash, and body lotions on offer (with full size bottles to take home if wanted).

  • Service was excellent throughout our stay; the concierge was willing to help with pre-arrival reservations and appointments at restaurants and shopping stores. Not only this, they were very accommodating with last minute requests.

Booking and Arrival

By booking with a travel advisor, we were able to get Virtuoso benefits, which included complementary transfer to and from the hotel. We were greeted by a Cheval Blanc representative right off the jet bridge at CDG, and escorted through immigration and straight to a car waiting to take us to the hotel.

On arrival, the hotel was ready and waiting to greet us. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The front desk was already aware of our bookings and appointments made previously through the concierge, which included shopping appointments and dinner reservations.

Prior to arrival, we did utilize the concierge to assist with booking a shopping appointment to Goyard, which does not take online appointment bookings for their stores in Europe. They are also able to assist with booking appointments at Chanel, Louis Vuitton, or any other major fashion brand, except Hermes.

Room, King Suite

We had been upgraded to a Deluxe room with Lourve view. This is the same size as the base Deluxe room, but with a view of the Lourve. Upon entry is the closet, which includes a large safe (with a dedicated area to store jewelry and watches). Further in, there is a king sized bed with a desk, separate lounger, well as a sitting area near the windows which offered great views of the Lourve.

There is a separate toilet room. The bathroom itself has a double vanity with a large tub and a separate shower, which can also act as a steam room.

The hotel offers a large amount of complementary amenities, including full size products. There were 2 different types of shampoo, 2 types of body washes, bath salts, bath bombs, and body scrub. Not only this, but there are also branded hair ties, comb, chapstick, hand cream just to name a few!

The non-alcoholic beverages in the mini bar are complimentary and are refreshed daily.

Waiting for us in the room were complementary wine and pastries, alongside with a handwritten note from the general manager.

At the bedside there was a pillow menu offering 7 types of pillows: buckwheat, memory foam, bamboo, spelt, virgin wool, miller and ladder, cherry stone. Branded pillow spray and ear plugs were also provided on each bedside. There is also a bed remote to adjust the contours of the bed, though we found the bed fine on its own and did not attempt to make any adjustments. On arrival at bedside, we were also given a branded key chain and phone hook.

Daily turndown service did include freshly brewed tea waiting for us at the bedside, which is a thoughtful touch. Reviews have noted daily gifts with turndown service, such as luggage tags or book marks, but we did not receive anything extra throughout out stay.

Dining

Le Tout Paris

Le Tout Paris is opened for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also a nice bar with outdoor patio seating that offers amazing views of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower.

Our virtuoso rate included daily breakfast for 2. This came with pastries, bread, small bowl of fruit and yogurt, as well as an a la cart menu with savory and sweet entrees. You are able to order anything off the menu, including multiple items at no additional cost.

In the afternoon we stopped by the bar to have a drink and found it very busy. In fact, nearly all the bar seating and patio seating were occupied. The hostess asked if we had a reservation, which we did not. However after noting we were guests at the hotel, the hostess stepped away for a few minutes then returned to show us to a table. They had given us a table that has previously had a “reserved” placard on it. We were very impressed with the service and accommodations for their hotel guests.

Plenitude

More than 6 months prior to our trip, we reached out to the concierge to help us make reservations at their 3 Michelin star restaurant, Plenitude, which they were able to assist with. Reservations can be hard to come by for this restaurant and are typically made at least half a year in advance.

The concept of the restaurant is that the sauces are the star. We ordered the set menu, in which each course highlights a particular sauce. The food is cooked to accompany the sauce, rather than the other way around. Everything we ate was delicious and service was excellent. A few highlights include sitting at the chef’s table for a course (watching the chefs in the kitchen was very interesting) and also being shown to their hidden “cheese closet” to choose cheese for the cheese course.

Langosteria

This is the Italian restaurant that opens for lunch and dinner and also has a bar and patio seating. On another afternoon we wanted to meet friends to have a drink before dinner. As it was quite last minute, we asked the concierge if it would be possible to reserve a table for 8 people for drinks. The concierge called the restaurant and even though the restaurant was booked, they were able to put together some tables outside in the patio to reserve for us. Again, we were impressed with how accommodating they were to our request! From the patio, we caught a beautiful sunset overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

Amenities, Activities, and Experiences

There are a lot of amenities for hotel guests at the Cheval Blanc. The highlight is the Dior Spa where you can book special treatments using featuring Dior products. This is the largest Dior Spa in the world and the decor throughout was beautiful and chic.

Use of the sauna, hammam, and cold room is complimentary for hotel guests. During our stay we did not see many people using the facilities. There are locker rooms with showers for guests to use as well.

A large indoor pool, which we were told is the largest in Paris, is also complimentary for guests to use. There were always plenty of loungers available, with flip flops and towels available for use. There was also complimentary water and snacks available.

As we were exploring the hotel, we did stumble upon a children’s area, which had multiple themed rooms with toys and activities for kids to enjoy. The employee overseeing the area told us that children can be dropped off and would be supervised by the staff.

Lastly, there is a sizable gym that is open 24 hours a day and has a good variety of workout equipment.

Last Thoughts

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cheval Blanc Paris. From the moment we stepped off the airplane at CDG airport to our check out, we felt cared for and looked after. We loved its central location within the heart of Paris, the personalized service from all the staff, and the spaciously modern rooms - this may be our new go-to hotel to stay whenever we are visiting Paris. We can’t wait to be back!
